About Stephen Barnes
Astrophotographer, astronomy educator, and observatory consultant
Stephen Barnes has more than 35 years of experience in astrophotography, beginning with film and early astronomical CCD cameras and continuing through today’s advanced digital imaging systems. He has owned and operated a telescope business, designed and installed robotic observatories, led observing and eclipse trips, taught workshops, reviewed astronomy equipment, and had images and articles published in astronomy media.
His work has included remote observatory projects in Chile, public education, private coaching, equipment consultation, image acquisition, and astrophotography processing.
